Personal and professional skills is designed for students to develop attitudes, skills and strategies to be applied to personal and professional situations and contexts now and in the future.
In this course the emphasis is on skills development for the workplace, as these are transferable and can be applied in a range of situations.
Students at DIS have the unique opportunity to undertake work placement within the Al Futtaim Group. Through meetings with the IBCP coordinator, students are given placements that directly link with their career aspirations to give purposeful experiences. Students participate in work placement on a weekly basis throughout the year to give them a valuable experience.
The experience gained from this is highly valuable for both the students career pathway but also for their university applications. Universities highly value the first-hand experience in a work environment therefore the IBCP work placement strengthens students applications.
