Megha Jootla - Primary School Counsellor

Megha has always had a fascination for the way in which the mind works. She studied a Bachelor of Psychological Science at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. She knew that she wanted to work with counselling young people and went on to gain a teaching qualification to gain some experience working with students in an international context. Throughout her time in the classroom for 9 years, Megha continued her professional development through various courses which enabled her to keep up with current practices in counselling and mental health. She has a strong belief that the ability to regulate our own mental health can determine our future success. Megha is looking forward to having a positive impact on the wellbeing and mental health of students, families, and staff in the DIS community as the Primary School Counsellor. Away from school, Megha enjoys trying out new restaurants in Dubai and spending time in the sun. She has played the piano since the age of 8 and enjoys continuing to play in her spare time. Megha’s favourite quote is “live and let live”.
