Her Excellency Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) visits Deira International School

Her Excellency Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) paid a visit recently to Deira International School to learn how the school implements its Arabic language programmes.

Accompanied by team members from KHDA, the Director General was received by Mira Al Futtaim, the Chief Future of Education Officer at the Al-Futtaim Education Foundation.

Guided by Dr Farah Sarraj, who leads AFEF’s efforts in promoting the Arabic language, Her Excellency toured the classrooms to learn about the innovative methods employed in Project Aghsan. This pioneering initiative is on course to publish 3000 book titles by next year, encompassing a diverse range of fiction and non-fiction texts for children aged 3-11+. The Director General commended the students fluency in the language and encourages schools to find innovative ways to improve students’ Arabic skills.
